Our Edge
We at GELC seek to incorporate the latest research-based trends in executive training that not only optimize the potential of an organization but also help discover, enhance, and empower the teams that steer an organization towards a growth trajectory. The GELC executive programs are delivered using experiential learning pedagogies such as interactive discussions in case studies, role plays, simulations, exercises, tools, and other outdoor activities, which help participants learn next-level leadership, launch new products and ventures, and cater to operational and strategic level challenges.
1. Renowned Faculty
GELC's executive education faculty comprises seasoned professionals who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With decades of involvement in the fields of teaching, training, case study development, and consultancy, these faculty members contribute a comprehensive skill set that enriches the learning experience for participants. Having facilitated numerous workshops, seminars, and training sessions, they possess the insights necessary to design immersive and interactive learning activities.
The learning and beyond experience of participants with these gems have proven to be extensively valuable in creating impactful learning journeys. The diversity in participants' backgrounds benefits their mastery of conveying complex ideas in an accessible manner at all levels. Their extensive teaching, training, case study writing, and consultancy backgrounds provide participants with a holistic and enriching educational experience.
The consultancy experience of GELC's faculty further elevates the executive education experience. Having consulted for various industries and organizations, they possess an acute understanding of the practical implications of theoretical knowledge. This enables them to bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world applications, demonstrating how theories manifest in actual business contexts.
2. Learning Need Assessment
GELC conducts thorough and all-encompassing learning needs assessments with great expertise. It is a meticulous exercise whereby various factors and elements influencing the learning requirements of organizations and individuals are taken into consideration. This exercise helps GELC craft highly personalized and tailor-fit programs that meet the client's particular needs while being in alignment with their overarching goals and objectives. We recognize that each organization or individual has unique challenges, goals, and existing knowledge levels. To address this effectively, GELC's learning needs assessment process involves an in-depth analysis of the current state of affairs, future objectives, available resources, and the specific context in which the learning will take place.
The process involves an extensive data collection phase. This can include surveys, interviews, observations, and analysis of existing training materials or programs. This helps us to gain insights into the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that impact the learning environment.Once data is collected, GELC employs a systematic approach to analyze and interpret the findings, which involves identifying patterns, trends, and gaps in knowledge or skills. This knowledge is imperative to identify areas for organizations where learning interventions are required, which will eventually lead to better performance and foster growth.
3. Distinctive Pedagogies
We are highly committed to providing results-driven learning through our cutting-edge pedagogies. Our programs are geared towards providing tangible outcomes. GELC's educators strategically integrate a range of dynamic teaching methods, each carefully selected to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in real-world contexts.
Our distinctive approach to diverse pedagogies such as case studies, simulations, panel discussions, exercises, role play, and meditation enables learners to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios, acquiring practical skills for enhanced learning.
The incorporation of simulations elevates the learning experience to a dynamic and interactive level. Learners are immersed in virtual environments that replicate real-world scenarios, enabling them to experiment, make decisions, and observe the outcomes of their actions. We lay great emphasis on panel discussions as a pedagogical tool that fosters intellectual exchange. Through role-play, students gain insight into effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution strategies. Meditation promotes mindfulness, where participants develop heightened self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and stress management skills.
By incorporating an array of pedagogical techniques, GELC acknowledges the diverse ways in which participants engage with and internalize information. This approach fosters a more inclusive and effective learning ecosystem.
4. Learning with Recreation
Along with the wide array of programs offered at GELC, one of our most popular and unique programs is ‘Learning with Recreation’. The concept of learning with recreation is devised by international field experts and researchers who believe that thrusting oneself outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, allows for positive engagement with the self while exploring nature’s offerings. Activities such as trekking, meditation, outdoor role plays, and others require grit, determination, and teamwork, which are necessary skills for high-performance teams in organizations. Â
It also helps participants learn new aspects of their personalities that are largely left unexplored in the daily routine and structures of the urban lifestyle. The Leadership Retreat at Skardu/Swat is one of the most popular programs offered in this category.
In this program, the calming experience of indulging in different activities at the lakeside in a valley, surrounded by mountains in cold weather, helps individuals challenge their potential, explore the dormant aspects of their personalities, and channel it in ways never done before. Therefore, a retreat to nature has been one of the most popular program designs of our coveted faculty.
It is also a great exercise to give a new and improved perspective to the leadership of any organization and help them create synergy and set new goals through a revised, long-term strategy and growth plan.
5. Executive Alumni Benefits
We believe that learning is a lifelong process that must not be limited to a rigorous 2 or 3-day training session. As human beings who seek excellence in our personal and professional lives, we must repeatedly seek opportunities that help maximize our potential.
Our world-class instructors have developed a loyal clientele over the years through outstanding feedback and post-workshop impact indicators. Our clients have quite often returned for workshops/training which have always had a positive impact on their growth trajectory and led them to explore aspects of management, leadership, and digital transformation, which are constantly evolving in the age of artificial intelligence and revised business demographics.
As part of GELC's special rewards and promotions, we offer special discounts and interaction opportunities to our alumni, encouraging them to continue on their path of growth and learning.
6. Post-Training Consultation
GELC recognizes that success is not just about short-term gains but also about long-term sustainability. We ensure that the learning programs we develop contribute not only to immediate improvements but also to the continued growth and adaptability of the organization or individual over time.
One of the salient features of training services provided by our faculty is a review of the impact of our sessions on a client organization. Initially, after a month of training, the faculty at GELC conducts post-training evaluation meetings with the heads of departments to gauge improvements in the behavior, overall performance of the participants, and its impact on the department's progression as well as future actions are also discussed in this meeting.
Another meeting for the revision of changes in behavior and outcomes of the staff and organization is held after six months. This valuable feedback also supports our instructors on how well they were able to execute their training sessions and what should be the key takeaways to improve future training. We also offer hands-on consultation to enhance company culture and systems on demand.
7. Case Writing
Our faculty specializes in crafting insightful case studies that delve into organizational challenges and successes for valuable learning. This unique opportunity can be explored by interested organizations willing to share their knowledge with the world and gain immense benefits that it will bring to them in many ways.
8. Extended Education - Online Short Courses
At GELC, we strongly value the yearning to learn.
